Would i be better off using the RCA jacks from the converter box to my TV.

How do i hook my magnavox tb110mw9 digital to analog converter up?
I dont have the original remote control so I bought a RCA universal that listed magnavox as one of the converter boxes it works on. I hooked up the coaxial cable from my antenna to the in on the converter box and hooked another coaxial from the output to the input on my tv. When i turn the converter box on for a split second my tv will show a blank screen, then it goes back to snow. I cannot see any of the setup wizard for the converter box on the tv.. Ive tried channel 3, 4,2, and input/aux none of them work. do I need to use special coaxial cables? would i be better off using the RCA jacks from the converter box to my TV. Im totally confused why i cant even get a menu for the converter box, any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, but i got some rca Wires and plugged it in that way and it works just fine, I just cant get it to work using the coax to hook it up for some reasom. I think it may have something to do with the town i live in just now starting to switch to digital, ive heard they were having various problems…
    thankyou though for trying =-)
